Why Women? Why Now?
Tuesday 30 November 2021 ONLINE (DAY ONE)
Wow! What a day we had for the launch of our National Congress series!
Our amazing line up of guest conversationalists explored women’s responses to climate change; First Nations approaches to gender governance and environmental management; the experience of women in government and other leadership positions, and the systems changes needed to allow full participation of women.
From the opening song, 'Dear Earth', through the Welcome to Country by Ngambri-Ngunnawal Elder Dr Matilda House, and the beautiful artistic presentation of The Singing Hill by Glenda Cloughley and friends, the space was set for 'Women Rising' and the energy in the Zoom Room was very high around this theme!
